AR-10 Parts for .308 AR Rifles

Build your own heavy-hitting battle rifle from the ground up! AR-10 style rifles are generally chambered in .308 Winchester, a full-power rifle cartridge capable of reaching out to 1000 yards. These days, there’s also the 6.5 Creedmoor, which uses the same bolt and magazine as a .308 rifle, but has a lighter projectile with less bullet drop over distance. While all other parts on an AR-10 are compatible with both .308 and 6.5, the barrels are NOT.

Start off with an AR-10 style lower receiver, a matching upper receiver, as well as a handguard  to make the base of your build. Then, customize with a lower parts kit, .308 buffer assembly, plus a barrel and bolt carrier group. You’ll also need some larger AR-10 magazines, a muzzle device, and a charging handle. You can also use standard AR-15 pistol grips and stocks to complete your gun, and don’t forget optics when you’re ready to hit the range!

Many of the AR-10 rifles you see on the market today are based on the DPMS Gen 1 pattern rifle, or the LR308. .308 AR rifles don’t have the same kind of “mil spec” standard as the AR-15, so making sure everything you buy is compatible with your receivers and parts kits.

All of the products on this page are made for the 7.62/308 AR variants. If you have any questions about the fit of a part to your specific weapon, please contact us and we are glad to help.
