A complete upper for an AR15 can be put on almost any AR15 lower receiver. Because it is the complete upper half of the rifle, all you need is a built out lower receiver and you will have a fully functioning rifle or pistol. It is by far the quickest and most cost effecient way to swap between calibers. Get a .22lr Upper Receiver for training to keep costs down, and then you can always put on a .300 blackout upper for ultra quiet suppressed shooting.
