6.5 Grendel

The 6.5 Grendel is a low-recoil, long-range cartridge explicitly designed for the AR-15 platform. Noted for impressive ballistics, it uses .264 caliber bullets to make accurate shots out to 1,000 yards.  The 6.5 Grendel uses a unique bolt and caliber-specific magazine to convert any standard AR15.

With a wide variety of available factory ammunition, the 6.5 Grendel is a top choice for hunting medium-game or extended-range target shooting.

DMR Fluted Barrel Profile

A mid-length gas system, 18″ barrel length, and Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR profile) make recoil smooth and stand up to high round counts. The DMR is to place accurate shots at greater distances than other team members’ rifles.

Ballistic Advantage’s DMR Profile is made with a thick profile up to the gas block and then tapered down beyond it. This gives some of the best qualities of a lightweight pencil barrel and heavy weight barrel and combines them for a duty-ready barrel. Fluting lightens up the barrel for improved ergonomics and allows for faster barrel cooling due to the channels acting as cooling “vents”.

Additionally, this barrel is precision machined from 416R Stainless Steel with a Bead Blasted Finish. Stainless steel is easy to clean and maintain and resistant to the elements.
