The Ballistic Advantage 11″ EPC 9mm Modern Series barrel is built for blowback AR-9 configurations using either Glock-pattern or Colt/Rock River-style magazine systems. Its enhanced feed ramp and integrated barrel extension are designed specifically around 9mm AR operation, while 1/2×28 muzzle threads make it easier to use common 9mm suppressor mounts and muzzle devices. Because the barrel extension is integral to the barrel, its 11″ listed length is a true overall measurement and is comparable in external length to roughly a 10.5″ 5.56 AR barrel.
Note: The 1/2×28 thread pitch is also commonly used on 5.56 muzzle devices, but not every 1/2×28 device has sufficient bore clearance for 9mm. Verify that any muzzle device or suppressor mount is specifically rated for 9mm and provides adequate projectile clearance before installation.
