The 14.375″ heavy-walled cylinder bore barrel delivers optimum power and pattering for home defense applications. Despite the reduced dimensions, the Shockwave’s efficient design still allows for a 6-round capacity from the compact magazine tube.
The unique “bird’s head” grip and strap fore-end enable an extremely secure grip during operation in tight spaces. This model retains all the critical controls of the full-size 590, including Mossberg’s dual extractors, positive steel-to-steel lockup, self-adjusting twin action bars, and anti-jam elevator for absolute reliability.
The top tang safety is ambidextrous for intuitive manipulation by any shooter. The drilled and tapped receiver provides for easy optic mounting if desired. A cylinder bore choke comes installed from the factory.
