Competition Muzzle Brake and Compensator with Heart
If you see the Heart Breaker on an AR-15, you’ll see its namesake straight away. While most manufacturers pride themselves on “aggressive” designs with ports, Timber Creek decided to be different, with two wide heart-shaped ports to tame recoil. Along with two circular ports on top to further reduce muzzle rise, the Heart Breaker provides excellent function and a fun form factor.
The Heart Breaker is threaded 1/2×28 for 5.56 AR-15s, and it comes in a flat Black Cerakote, or a Clear Cerakote that has a stainless steel look. Whatever style you’re going for, you’re likely to find some affection for this brake once you take it to the range. Just don’t be surprised if your neighbors don’t feel the love once the Heart Breaker shows off just how loud and proud it can be!
Installation with Included Jam Nut
The Heart Breaker includes a jam nut, so you can time the device precisely without fear of losing your crush washer. If you’ve never attached a muzzle device this way, it’s pretty simple to do.
- Thread the jam nut to the base of your barrel’s threads
- Thread on the muzzle break as far down on the threads as possible, with the two top ports facing upward
- Holding the muzzle brake with your armorer’s tool/wrench, use a crescent wrench to snug the jam nut to the rear of the brake
- Make any small adjustments for perfect alignment
