Arisaka Defense Inline Scout Light Mount – MLOK, Keymod, and Picatinny

The Arisaka Inline Scout Mount is a specialized mount designed to fit Scout pattern flashlights on MLOK, Keymod, and Picatinny handguards. This mount is specifically designed for use with Surefire Scout Light patter lights. One of the best things about the Inline Scout Mount is its low profile. It is especially useful on handguards with 45-degree angle mounting flats, such as the BCM MCMR, Geissele Automatics SMR MK4, MK8, and MK16, and other handguards.

When used on a 45-degree angle mounting flat, the Inline Scout Mount allows the user to position the light closer or farther away from the top Picatinny rail to give clearance for front sights or other accessories. This feature is particularly beneficial for operators who use IR lasers and other accessories.

The mount provides three positions, allowing an offset of 0.12″ to either side of the center of the handguard. Note that this mount is not intended for use in a cantilever fashion where it hangs off the end of the handguard.

Installation

In order to reduce the overall length of the mount as much as possible, it is necessary to unscrew the tail cap of the light to access the front-most mounting screw. This might seem like a small detail, but it can make a significant difference in terms of usability and performance.
