About the build
For this build, we partnered with the National Association for Gun Rights. It features an Olive Drab Green chassis built from our AT3 lower and upper, paired with a STNGR HWK 15″ handguard to create a solid foundation. Topped with an EOTech optic and a Streamlight WML, this is a perfect starting point for any battle rifle.See Full Secs
To complement the ODG, the build includes FDE small parts, giving it a natural fit in a woodland setting without the need for a full camouflage Cerakote job.
This build focuses on what matters. For a solid trigger, it features the Ballistic Engineering AR CORE 4 lb trigger, paired with Armaspec ultralight small parts. Plus, the reciprocating system uses the Armaspec SRS Silent Recoil System buffer, which helps smooth out recoil and reduce noise from the buffer assembly.
To round out the rear, it’s equipped with a Magpul STR buttstock and Magpul K2+ pistol grip. Up front, the 16″ 5.56 NATO barrel is topped with a Breek Arms Plan B Scorch 3-prong flash hider, allowing you to thread on your favorite suppressor to make shooting even more enjoyable.
Upper Receiver Parts
This upper receiver’s flagship part is the STNGR HWK 15″ M-LOK Handguard. Easily one of the best value handguards out there. Ultra strong Made in the USA construction, while being one of the lightest in the 15″ class of handguards. This build is very suppressor friendly with the Breek Arms Sledgehammer that helps divert gasses away from the shooter, and the Plan B 3-Prong Flash Hider from Breek means you can screw any Plan B compatible suppressor on, quickly.
The 16″ 5.56 Barrel means no NFA paper work while staying as compact as possible. We used our AT3 Nickel Boron 5.56 M-16 BCG as the heart of this build, and for any true battle rifle, a forward assist is a necessity, even if you never need it.
Lower Receiver Parts
Starting with the Ballistic Engineering 4lb CORE Trigger, you get crisp and reliable trigger pulls. Standing out from the norm is the Phase5 Ambi Bolt Catch that is very similiar to the Magpul BAD Lever but 100% metal and won’t bend like the Magpul variant. The Magpul K2+ grip gives a great ergonomic feel that you can hold for hours and the Magpul STR Stock is super comfortable with a wide cheek weld you get a lot of contact area between your cheek and the stock.
