Ruger SFAR .308 Winchester Rifle with 20 Inch Barrel
The Ruger SFAR .308 WIN Rifle combines the ballistic advantages of a .308 Winchester with the size and weight of a traditional AR-15. The bolt and barrel extensions are CNC-machined from high-strength super alloy steel that easily outperforms traditional mil-spec C158 bolts. Tapered lug geometry further strengthens the breech to support larger short-action cartridges.
The bolt carrier group (BCG) features a chrome-lined 8620 steel bolt carrier and nitride-processed gas key staked in place. The titanium firing pin has been DLC-coated to provide a long service life and high round count. The bolt includes dual ejectors and an optimized extractor to ensure positive extraction and ejection of the spent case through the enlarged ejection port.
A 4140 chrome-moly steel cold hammer-forged barrel with ultra-precise 5R rifling ensures consistent accuracy and durability in all environments. And at a full 20 inch barrel length, this rifle has all the velocity you need for shooting at extended range.
The heavy profile barrel balances nicely and its black nitride finish helps ensure exceptional resilience in the elements and can be easily cleaned. Additionally, the Ruger 2-port “Boomer” muzzle brake has large perpendicular surfaces to redirect gas and reduce felt recoil. 5/8″-24 muzzle threads on the barrel are compatible with a wide variety of other muzzle brakes, flash hiders, and suppressors.
The 15-inch aluminum handguard is also free-floated for accuracy and features Magpul M-LOK accessory attachment slots along the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions and a Picatinny top rail for a front sight or laser to be mounted. Quick Disconnect (QD) sling swivel sockets located at the muzzle end of the handguard allow for comfortable carry with a two-point sling.
Get a larger caliber rifle without any of the extra weight associated with other AR-10s with the Ruger SFAR, bigger and stronger where it needs to be and remains smaller and lighter than comparable .308-sized rifles.
