For a personal defense weapon, a compact barrel that works in close quarters is a must.  This 5.5 inch barrel from Ballistic Advantage features a straight, heavy profile, perfect for hosting a suppressor on the 1/2×28 threads.  The barrel can be used with Colt or Glock style AR-9 builds, and will work with any standard upper receiver and handguard.
