Product description

Bravo Company MK2 Buffer with 4 Sliding Weights

The Bravo Company MK2 Buffer weight for their specialized MK2 Receiver Extension is an upgrade over standard AR-15 buffers. Each buffer contains four sliding weights, along with an internal flat wire spring to ensure even reciprocation of mass. When combined with the MK2 Receiver Extension and an AR-15 Rifle length recoil spring, this buffer effectively reduces recoil.

You can also find MK2 Buffer kits here, with options for T0, T1, and T2 buffers included.

Note: MK2 Buffers are proprietary to MK2 Receiver extensions. Do NOT use MK2 Buffers in standard carbine buffer tubes!

What it does for you A standard buffer is a solid weight that slams back and forth every time the rifle cycles. The MK2 holds four sliding weights and an internal flat wire spring, so the mass moves more evenly. That means a smoother-feeling rifle, softer recoil and more consistent cycling.

Picking a weight: what the T-number means Each buffer has four internal weights. The T-number is how many of them are tungsten (heavy) instead of steel. A higher number means a heavier buffer, which slows the bolt more.

  • T0, 3.8 oz (all steel): the lightest. For rifles that cycle normally and aren’t over-gassed.
  • T1, 4.7 oz (1 tungsten): a small step up. A good place to start if your rifle feels a little harsh.
  • T2, 5.6 oz (2 tungsten): the middle of the range. For noticeably over-gassed rifles or occasional suppressor use.
  • T3, 6.5 oz (3 tungsten): heavy. For rifles that run hot, or regular suppressed shooting.
  • T4, 7.4 oz (all tungsten): the heaviest. For heavily over-gassed or suppressed setups that need the most slowing down.

Not sure? Go one step heavier if your rifle feels harsh or throws brass far forward. Go one step lighter if it struggles to cycle with lighter ammo.
