This Faxon Firearms 16 Inch Gunner Profile AR-15 Barrel is a lightweight and high-quality upgrade built specifically for AK caliber AR-15s. This barrel can handle full-auto fire and is suppressor rated. The Gunner profile is a blend of two of the best performing profiles of all time, Government and Pencil.
It combines the durability of the Government profile with the weight savings and maneuverability of the Pencil profile, which helps limit fatigue and ensures maximum versatility. It brings the balance of the rifle back towards the shooter’s body, keeping the material to the rear while maximizing heat resistance and mitigating whip.
4150 CMV Carbon Steel Construction
The Faxon Firearms 16 Inch Gunner Profile AR-15 Barrel is manufactured 100% in-house from 4150 chrome-moly-vanadium carbon steel, and then fully stress relieved, air-gauge tested, and 11-degree target crowned to ensure superior accuracy.
Each Gunner Profile Barrel is button rifled with a nitride finish for corrosion resistance and individually checked for headspace by precision custom hardened PTG gauges.
