Made from 6061 aluminum hard coat anodized, the Gen2 Two Piece Drop-In Quad Rail Handguard is lightweight ,very easy to install with an extremely durable finish. Very solid & tight fit, no battle-rattle at all. Proudly made in the USA.
Available in Carbine Length, Midlength, and Rifle Length for a variety of builds.
Note: Carbine compatible only with round handguard caps. Midlength and Rifle only compatible with triangle handguard caps.

Hello, what is the recommended size for a Ruger AR-556 8500 model ?
Chris · Jan 20, 2026AT3 Support Team — For the Ruger AR-556 8500 with its standard 16.1" carbine-length gas system, the MI AR-15 Gen2 Two Piece Drop-In Quad Rail Handguard in 7" length is the recommended size for full gas block coverage without excessive overhang. The 9" option works if you prefer extended rail space ahead of the gas block. Both swap easily using the factory barrel nut and delta ring.
