Improved Silent Capture Spring To Reduce Recoil On AR-15 Platforms
The JP Silent Captured Spring is a drop-in module replacement for the traditional buffer and buffers spring components of the AR-15 platforms. It helps the rifle’s operation by eliminating the raspy scraping of the buffer spring against the interior of the extension tube and yields a virtually silent cycling action with a dramatic reduction in friction and vibration during live fire.
SCS Buffer Retainer Pin
Because the insertion and removal of the Silent Captured Spring are very difficult with a standard buffer retainer pin, we recommend removing it when installing your SCS. This leaves the SCS “free-floating” in the buffer tube. While this isn’t a problem when the receivers are closed, some shooters find it objectionable. In this case, we have a custom Silent Captured Spring Buffer Retainer Pin and Spring available to retain the SCS without the snagging caused by the Mil-spec design.

Compatibility:
- The JPSCS2-15 will not function with older Primary Weapon Systems (PWS) bolt carriers. The design of the carrier will prevent the rifle from cycling.
