The Midwest Industries Gen2 Two Piece Free Float Quad Rail Handguard is billet machined from 6061 aluminum and hard coat anodized for a tough finish. Complete installation in minutes (removal of delta ring is required). Handguard is incredibly lightweight, extremely solid lock-up with monolithic type continuous top rail and also works with most piston systems. Proudly american made.

I have a Ruger 556 with a 16" barrel and a MLOK handguard. What do I need to install the Midwest picrail handguard?
David Morris · Oct 25, 2025AT3 Support Team — The handguard installs on a standard GI barrel nut, which is not included with the handguard. Your Ruger 556 may have a proprietary barrel nut related to its factory handguard, so you might need to replace it with a GI barrel nut compatible with Midwest Industries handguards. You must remove the factory delta ring assembly to install this two-piece free float handguard as well
