The Wilson Combat AR-15/M16 Bolt Carrier Group is a precision quality part from Wilson Combat manufactured by the finest domestic Mil-Spec contractors and considered one of the best 5.56 AR rifle bolts on the market. These same top-quality bolts are used on Wilson Combat’s famous custom rifles.
The bolt is machined from Carpenter 158 hardened steel and then shot-peened for increased strength while still remaining flexible enough to prevent cracking. These precisely machined and hardened parts will ensure the long-term function and reliability of the gas system.
High-Quality & Reliable
The Wilson Combat AR-15/M16 Bolt Carrier Group features a parkerized finish on the outside and a chrome-lined gas key inside. It is phosphate and heat treated per GI specifications and will work in any 5.56 rifle, though it’s designed for full-auto, suppressed, or short barrel rifles.
The extractor is 4140 gun quality, annealed, cold drawn steel per the Mil-Spec and is secured to the carrier via Grade 8 fasteners for absolute durability.
NOTE- The only difference between “semi-auto” and “full-auto” carriers is the carrier weight and external profile. The “full-auto” carrier is slightly heavier to provide more mass and lower cyclic rate that can benefit carbine length and shorter gas systems, short-barreled/suppressed rifles, and machine guns. The “semi-auto” carrier is slightly lighter to provide the least amount of recoil impulse for rifle-length gas systems and its design makes reinstalling the firing pin easier after cleaning.
