Reduce Recoil, Wear, and Unwanted Rattling
Armaspec’s Stealth Recoil Spring™ is one of the best upgrades for your AR15’s recoil system, and you can feel and hear the difference instantly. The two-stage SRS is silent, eliminating the annoying “twang” of the stock AR15 buffer spring when the action cycles. It also reduces recoil with the multi-spring system, resulting in a smooth, elastic feeling rather than a mechanical recoil impulse. It’s a true innovation, all made in the USA.
- Eliminates buffer spring rattling in the receiver extension, resulting in a cleaner sound and a smoother action
- The multi-stage system makes a softer recoil impulse than a standard AR15 buffer spring
- The SRS keeps constant tension on the rear of the bolt, eliminating the need for the buffer spring retainer in new builds
Which Stealth Recoil Spring do I need?
Generally, most users can follow these guidelines when replacing their recoil system – but each firearm is different, especially when looking at non-standard cartridges. If you need to adjust your system, we have replacement weights and bumpers available here.

Nice product, easy install but two things you should be aware of. The old style brown color "O" rings don't last very long so you might want to buy a set of spare rings and while it is possible to change weights it's VERY difficult because they use red loctite.
Was very satisfied with product. Gun function was good and no twang coming from the butt stock and the price was fair.
Works flawlessly...I have them in everyone of my weapons now and won't go back to buffer springs ever!!! Awesome product
Build an AR10 from scratch, installed a carbon fiber 24” barrel old style buffer spring. Recoil was some what less than 243 bolt action, but a lot of spring noise. Installed the stealth recoil spring. Reduced recoil to a level where my 12 year old grandson can shoot it comfortably and no noise from the buffer spring. I feel the action also operates a lot smoother with the stealth recoil spring. I plan on buying three more of the stealth recoil springs at a great price from AT3 Tactical
Building a 450BM and have one in a 6.5 Grendel. The 6.5 works great, makes the old spring and buffer pretty much obsolete IMO.
The 450 BM had to call tech support for advice on short cycling. Told me to cut two coils off the main spring and they also said that the warranty was still good! Cut the coils and shazam it works great! I have quite a few ar's and before it's over all of them will have one!! I really don't know what it will be after 1000 rounds or so only time will tell.
